The Beautiful De Smet fundraising campaign is making the most of this once in a lifetime opportunity to build an environment that welcomes visitors and residents alike to explore, linger, and enjoy spending time in our business district, driving increased business and tax revenues for generations to come.

We need your help to build a beautiful downtown! With a fundraising goal of $1.25 million, this project may seem daunting for a small, rural community, but De Smet has a reputation for rising to the occasion. Other large community projects include the De Smet Event & Wellness Center funded at over $4 million and the De Smet Avera Hospital expansion funded at over $3 million. De Smet may be known as the Little Town on the Prairie, but we set big goals and complete big projects.
